Wouldn’t you love the Jackson DK3XR M in orange or green?

In October 2023, Jackson Guitars unveiled a Dinky model 2910022527 , specifically a Jackson DK3XR M HSS that features a maple fingerboard and reverse headstock. Those are two of our favorite features, so we took notice. Also featuring the HSS pickup configuration, a five-way switch for those in-between strat sounds, and a floyd rose style double-locking vibration system, this falls squarely in superstrat territory and is definitely the kind of guitar we would pick up to play.

What we are not super into on these models is the paint colors that were chosen, and we are also not huge fans of painted headstocks, especially on necks with maple fingerboards. What if these were styled a little more the original Jackson DK2M guitars that had maple fingerboards and shark fin inlays like these, but also had an unpainted headstock and black binding? That was a really tough and distinctive look, one that might work here as well.

We also thought this new model might look good in orange or green. You can count on your pals here at Fret5 to not only think up and describe guitar ideas, but to show you what they might look like if the did (and hopefully one day will) actually exist. We made a few mockups to show what these might look like restyled a bit, what do you think? If we saw these at a guitar retailer, they would be pretty difficult to resist.
